The Missouri women’s golf team is back in action for the first time in over two months, competing in the Paradise Invitational hosted by Florida Atlantic.
TOURNAMENT INFORMATION
The tournament will be held Monday and Tuesday, with the schools opening action Monday morning at 7:00 a.m. CT with a shotgun start. Teams are scheduled to play 36 holes on Monday before the tournament concludes with 18 holes on Tuesday.
Joining the Tigers in the tournament are the host Owls, BYU, Colorado State, Georgia Southern, Indiana, Kansas State, Kennesaw State, Mercer, Nebraska, USF, UTSA, Vanderbilt and Wisconsin.
The tournament is held at Osprey Point Golf Club and is played on the Raven and Falcon courses, which measure 6,204 yards on a par-72 course.
AUTUMN USE
The Tigers competed in four tournaments during the fall season and won the title at their home tournament, the Johnie Imes Invitational. Mizzou also ranked in the top 10 in The Ally.
Graduate student Sky Load led Mizzou with a 74.08 stroke average in 12 falls, while the junior Emily Staples was behind with 74.25. Staples also achieved a personal-best Tiger finish of third at his home tournament and also finished ninth at the Battle of the Beach at the end of the fall campaign.
In addition, Melanie Walker finished as the team’s best player at The Ally Sophia Yoemans placed first on the team in the Jim West Challenge.
WELCOME KATE BIBBY
Tigers added Kate Bibby to the spring semester list. First-class Bibby became the youngest golfer to qualify for the English Amateur Match Play Championship, finishing 17th. He also won the Doral title in 2020 as a 16-year-old.
