Stetson Bennett among 12 Georgia football players invited to 2023 NFL Combine

A year after taking 15 players in the 2022 NFL Draft, the Bulldogs will likely be well-represented again in the 2023 NFL Draft. At least based on those invited 2023 NFL Scouting Combine.

Georgia had 12 players drafted, and only Alabama had more with 13.

Bennett was one of 15 quarterbacks drafted and will be watching in Indianapolis. Bennett opted out of the Senior Bowl and was recently arrested on a public intoxication charge. He also led Georgia to back-to-back national championships and set the schools single-season passing record. Bennett’s measurements are important.

Washington, Nolan Smith and Ringo all have a chance to help their stock with strong testing and medicals. All three were missed during their Georgia careers, but are also exceptional athletes. A strong combine performance could help solidify all three as potential first-round draft picks.

Carter and Jones are currently seen as nearly locked in as first-round picks, with Carter considered a candidate for the no. 1 to the general selection.

Many have already started to help their draft stock for the 2023 NFL Draft, as Jackson and Beal both participated in the East-West Shrine Game, while Chris Smith, Podlesny, McClendon and McIntosh all participated in last weeks Senior Bowl.

The 2023 NFL Combine will be played in Indianapolis, where Georgias defeated Alabama 33-18 in the 2022 national title game. The event starts on February 26th and runs until March 6th, with players arriving at different rankings. Field training starts on Thursday, March 2 and ends on Sunday, March 5.
