CHATTANOOGA — The Chattanooga Mocs women’s tennis team returns home Friday and Sunday morning for non-conference matches against EKU and Presbyterian at the McCallie School’s Strang-Voges Tennis Center. First pitch for both matches is set for 9 a.m. ET.
Chattanooga (3-1) looks to bounce back from its first loss of the season last Friday after suffering a close 4-3 loss to Middle Tennessee. It will be the first matchup between UTC and EKU since 2016 and eighth overall, while the Mocs will face Presbyterian for the fourth straight season.
“Both teams will be rough this weekend and play hard at every point,” the head coach said Chad Camper.
“We have to stay focused and dialed in every pitch and stay positive in both games.”
EKU enters Friday morning’s game with a 1-5 record this season and is looking for a four-game skid. The Mocs and Colonels will meet for just the eighth time in each program’s history, with UTC holding a 5-2 advantage in the all-time meetings.
PC comes to the Scenic City with a 1-4 record and is also looking to snap a four game losing streak. Chattanooga has a 3-0 all-time record against the Blue Hose, with all three meetings coming in the last three seasons.
Live stats for both matches will be available on GoMocs.com with full results and recaps after action ends each day. All match day links can be found on the schedule page.
