2024 may be on the clock, but Michigan football is getting a big, early start heading into 2025.
The Wolverines already have a four-star commit out of Florida in 2025, cornerback Chris Ewald, in the fold, and while the class doesn’t have many grades, the Maize and Blue have worked to add another top prospect in 2025. .
From Buford (Ga.), where former Wolverines running back Christian Turner once played, linebacker Mantrez Walker has received offers Florida, LSU, State of Michiganstate of florida, Ohio State, Penn StateSouth Carolina and Tennessee, among others. But on Saturday, Walker decided to commit early and verbally committed to Michigan football.
He made his commitment on Rivals’ YouTube page.
At 5-foot-11, 215 pounds, Walker also competes in track and field. He received his Michigan offer on December 8th.
Walker doesn’t have a rating yet, but based on his offer sheet, it’s likely he’ll be a four-star prospect.
