#25 Washington drops non-conference game to #22 Stanford, 196.625 – 196.375

STANFORD, Calif. — The Washington gymnastics team (4-7, 0-4 Pac-12) dropped a close contest with Stanford this afternoon, 196.625 to 196.375.

Both teams posted their best scores of the season, with Washington scoring a 196.750 against Arizona on the 10th. February and Stanford’s 196.725 at the 2023 Metroplex Challenge.

GymDawgs started in bars where they were led Taylor Russo who earned a season-best 9.875. Lilly Tubbs scored a career-high 9.850 and Deiah Moody earned a 9.800 to lead Washington to a 49.175.

Washington earned its second-highest vault score of the season with a score of 49.150 thanks to a strong performance by the fifth-year senior duo Amara Cunningham (9,850) and Brenna Brooks (9,850) and Skylar Killough-Wilhelm (9.875), which set a season high and earned first place on vault.

The Huskies earned a 49 on the 200 floor, an event that has consistently netted them 49 points all season.

Cunningham placed four-way on floor with three Stanford gymnasts and earned a 9.900 in the anchor position.
