Cumulative top 25 preseason poll of 2023 updates in the spring

College football’s vast array of top 25 rankings heading into the 2023 season have been released this spring, and we’ve combined many of them into one cumulative preseason poll for your viewing pleasure. There’s a consensus pick at No. 1, but there’s plenty of variation among the other rankings in pursuit of a four-team College Football Playoff before expansion.

Several rosters that have changed significantly this spring as transfer-heavy classes have entered respective double-deeps. While some won’t be affected by this cumulative ranking, we’ve mentioned all the additions that could affect voters later this summer.

The points used in this exercise were calculated using the system – 25 points for the No. 1 ranking – and then distributed accordingly. Deviations are noted if one organization placed a team while others did not. Teams that just missed out were South Carolina, Texas A&M, Iowa and UTSA.
