Helena opens registration for youth flag football; to cover football and youth cheerleading – Shelby County Reporter

HELENA Registration opened on April 2nd for Helena youth flag football, tackle football and Helena Huskies cheerleading.

Registration can be completed online.

For those interested in youth flag football, it is possible to register for kindergarten up to the fifth grade.

The divisions are kindergarten/first grade, second/third grade, and fourth/fifth grade.

Participants get a jersey and the opportunity to play on a real soccer field.

The cost is $140 and payment can be made by cash, check or credit/debit card. Online registration is open and ends on June 3.

Registration/fitting is on Sunday 4.6. from 13:00 to 16:00

Youth tackle football is open to first through sixth grade. The game features an 11-on-11 tackle competition for the sport, with teams competing against Pelham, Chelsea, Briarwood, Oak Mountain and Homewood.

Those who register get a jersey and the games are all weeknights without Saturday games.

Registration costs $220 and payment methods are cash, check, credit/debit card.

Registration is currently open and ends on June 3 with Sunday registration/practice on June 4 from 13:00 to 16:00

Helena Huskies Cheerleading is open to new and returning cheerleaders with registration on 10.5.

The first fit is for returning cheerleaders on May 11 from 5:30-7:30 p.m., while the second fit for new cheerleaders is on May 18 from 5:30-7:30 p.m.

All cheerleaders must reserve one convenient day to participate.

Arrangements will be held in the parish center of the Helena sports center.

Cheerleading is open to first through sixth grade. cheerleader return fee is $350 which includes registration, new uniform (2 pcs), spirit wear, game day bow, socks, shoes, bombs, bloomers, sleeves and camp.

New cheerleaders can purchase a new cheerleader package which costs $350 and includes registration, new uniform (2 pcs), spirit wear, game day bow, socks, shoes, bombs, flowers, sleeves and camp.

Megaphones can be purchased as accessories if necessary.
