Tarleton Track & Field will compete in Denton in the North Texas Classic on Saturday

DENTON, Texas The Texans travel north on Saturday to compete in the North Texas Classic.

The event is the Texans’ fifth outdoor event of the season and will be held at the Mean Green Soccer and Track and Field Stadium.

The event starts at 9 am on Saturday with the men’s hammer throw and the men’s 5000m run. The women’s pole vault concludes the field events and the event starts at 2 p.m. The women’s 4×400 m relay concludes the running events and the competition begins at 5:05 p.m.

There are 60 student-athletes competing at Tarleton, 30 men and 30 women. Competing teams include UT-Arlington, Pratt CC, Texas Wesleyan, Fort Scott CC, Ranger, North Central, Drury, Sam Houston, Washburn, Paul Quinn, SMU, Abilene Christian, UNT-Dallas, Jacksonville, Concordia, Cameron , Dallas, Baylor and North Texas.

Jade Hall placed third at the WAC Indoor Championships in the triple jump. He bettered his personal best the last time he competed in the event, jumping 15.04m at the Clyde Hart Classic in Waco.

Everett Sadler owns the second-fastest 200m time by a Texan this year with a time of 10.55 seconds at the Clyde Hart Classic.

Jordan Rae he currently has the highest jump by a Texan in the high jump this season. The last time he competed in the event at the Clyde Hart Classic, he jumped 1.68m.

Jordan Angle runs 400 meters in the event. Anglin currently leads the team at the UTA Invitational with a time of 56.28 seconds.
