The match, which will be played in Rawalpindi, was briefly halted after the first set when umpires were seen guiding the ground to correct measurements.

According to the update Geo news site, a Pakistani news channel, the pitch was changed after the first episode was delivered with inaccurate measurements.

A popular name in the umpiring business, Aleem Dar then corrected the inaccurate measurement by measuring the distance in steps. The rare and funny incident led to massive trolling on social media and the match lasted six minutes before it resumed.

When the match resumed with proper field dimensions, Haris Rauf removed New Zealand opener Will Young for 19(22) in the sixth over. His partner Chad Bowes scored a run-ball 51 before losing his wicket to Rauf.
