Jacques Kallis picks three legends to feature in his cricket league

Former South African cricketer Jacques Kallis generally considered the finest multipurpose. Kallis, who played with and against cricket’s biggest icons, has achieved a remarkable feat of amassing more than 10,000 runs and taking more than 200 wickets in both One Day International (ODI) and Test matches.

Although Kallis bid farewell to international cricket in 2014, he continues to entertain his fans with his presence in retirement cricket tournaments like Legends League Cricket. Currently, Kallis is a member of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 commentary panel. He recently mentioned in an interview that the passion for cricket in India is unmatched compared to South Africa.

The former Proteas cricketer answered several interesting questions in a quick round with Curly Tales. He was asked what India has that South Africa doesn’t? Kallis replied: Passionate about how people love cricket.

When asked which three players he would pick first if he were to start his own cricket league, the 47-year-old felt it was a challenging question. Nevertheless, Kallis eventually went with the Indian legend Sachin TendulkarSouth Africa icon AB de Villiersand Pakistan’s top fast bowler Wasim Akram to the top spots.

Not so long ago, Kallis had offered his prediction for the winner of the ongoing 16th season of the money-rich league. Kallis thinks so Delhi Capitals (DC) and Mumbai Indians (MI) would make it to the finals, and the latter emerged as the champion. Notably, both DC and MI are currently in the top five, but have yet to drop out of the race. With 5 wins and as many losses, Mumbai is sixth. DC, on the other hand, is in second last place with 4 wins from their 10 matches.
