Michigan football has the best class in the 2024 recruiting class, but entering Sunday, the Wolverines were missing a playmaking wide receiver in the class.
However, everything changed on Sunday afternoon.
Maize and blue hit the top spot after a legacy committed to them. Channing Goodwin, son of former offensive lineman Jonathan Goodwin, committed to Michigan North CarolinaNorth Carolina State, South Carolina, Virginia, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest.
Goodwin is the No. 511 three-star receiver in the 247Sports Composite. However, 247Sports itself lists Goodwin as a four-star and No. 241 in the country.
Goodwin comes from the same high school as five-star and current Michigan commit Jadyn Davis at Charlotte (North Carolina) Providence Day School.
With the addition of Goodwin, Michigan now has 16 recruits committed to it in the 2024 class.
