Coach Todd Clark works with quiet efficiency. His players make him popular.
The Aussie has been working in India for several years starting at Harvest Academy in Jassowal, Ludhiana. He was in Ahmedabad for a few years. After the pandemic, he has been working as the manager of Accelerate Tennis on Gurgaon-Pataudi Road.
Having tied up with the 102-year-old Modern School, Barakhamba Road, Todd is available to players, especially juniors, in the heart of the capital.
The new coaching system was launched in a brief ceremony at the Modern School on Thursday in the presence of school principal Vijay Datta.
Named Accelerate Tennis in association with the India Tennis Academy, the new venture will utilize the school’s six synthetic courts and world-class sports infrastructure to mentor young players at all levels, including the school’s students.
Under Todd’s guidance, many players are reaching new heights in the sport, said Abhijeet Dangat, representative of Tennis Academy of India.
We are delighted to be at Modern School. The school has proven evidence of high-quality physical education for high-level students, emphasizing their holistic development. We cater to everyone, but we aim for tournament-level juniors, said Todd Clark.
Accelerate Tennis also operates a Sector-65 facility in Gurugram.
We understand the importance of regular training in order to improve performance and allow players to pursue a US College course if they so choose, said Todd.
