“It’s that time of the year when the evenings are getting longer and it looks like we’re finally going to see the sun, it brings with it the excitement of a new season of cricket.

Last year was an amazing season with Munster Reds winning the T20 Inter Provincials (almost a double) and Munster Heat winning the development Inter Pros. These performances really raised the profile of cricket in Munster on so many levels. Cork County hosted the Reds games so brilliantly and the All Ireland T20 final bumper crowd was a really good reflection of what is going on in our county.

Our own league is as vibrant and competitive as ever and I wish every player, referee, goalscorer, club member and supporter all the best for the coming season. I’m really looking forward to crossing paths with you this season.”
