The Cowgirl Duo sees their NCAA run come to an end

ORLANDO, Fla. Oklahoma State’s standout doubles team Ayumi Miyamoto and Raquel Gonzalez The NCAA Division I Women’s Tennis Championships ended in the round of 32.

The Cowgirls dropped a tough match against Wake Forest’s Anna Brylin and Brooke Killingsworth 6-7 (5), 7-5, (7-10).

With both sides going toe-to-toe in the first thought to force a tiebreaker, Wake Forest battled back to take the final four points to secure the set.

The Cowgirls didn’t let the deficit stop them in the second set, winning three straight games to force a third set.

The two pairs went back and forth throughout the third set, but in the end the Demon Deacons took the match in a 10-point tiebreaker.

The OSU duo finished the season with an impressive 14-3 record for a 6-1 record in conference play.
