Massachusetts has 26 Hockey East All Academic Team honorees

AMESBURY, Mass. University of Massachusetts hockey has named 26 of its student-athletes to the Hockey East 2022-23 Men’s All Academic Team, Hockey East announced Tuesday. The Minutemen faced UMass Lowell as the most represented institution among the league’s institutions, with a total of 210 student-athletes honored.

Plus defenders Aaron Bohlinger and Elliott McDermott earned spots on the Hockey East Academic All-Star Team and was among 12 individuals named a Hockey East Top Scholar-Athlete who compiled the season’s highest grade point averages at their position.

Seniors Eric Faith and Cal Kiefiuk achieved “Distinguished Scholar” status after qualifying for the All-Academic team all four years of his career at UMass.

The Minutemen had five of the league’s 21 triple winners: Lime algaeBoehlinger, Henry Graham, Jerry Harding, Reed Lebster. Ryan Sullivan and Ryan Ufko both earned the second accolade of their careers.

UMass had 17 first-time honorees: Mikey Adamson, Michael Cameron, Kenny Connors, Eric DeDobbelaer, Tyson Dyck, Noah Ellis, Matt Koopman, Ryan Lautenbach, Taylor MakarMcDermott, Lucas Mercury, Scott Morrow, Owen Murray, Josh Nodler, Kennedy O’Connor, Cole O’Hara and Luke Pavicich.
