Women’s basketball’s top ten opponents

ROSEMONT, Ill. — The Big Ten Conference announced the division of opponents for the University of Michigan women’s basketball team for the 2023-24 conference season Thursday (June 22) morning.

The conference season again consists of 18 matches, with each team facing five teams in a home-and-home series and the remaining eight teams only once.

UM will face rivals Ohio State and Michigan State in a home-and-home series, as well as Illinois, Rutgers and Nebraska. The Wolverines will host Maryland, Minnesota, Purdue and Wisconsin at the Crisler Center during the 2023-24 conference season. Michigan will travel to Indiana, Iowa, Northwestern and Penn State to complete the 18-game stretch.

The full schedule for the 2023-24 season will be announced later this summer.

Michigan returns a pair of starters from last year’s team There Pheliawhich will compete with USA Basketball in the AmeriCup this summer, and Cameron Williams. UM returns eight letterwinners from last year’s 23-10 team, and six newcomers join the Wolverines.
