Britain’s Princess of Wales Kate Middleton made her first visit to the 2023 Wimbledon tennis championships on Tuesday, and the royal’s synchronized viewership led to viral social media.

Kate is an avid tennis fan and has attended the Wimbledon Championships since she was a child. She took a more prominent role in the organization as patron of the All England Lawn Tennis Club in 2016 after marrying into the royal family.

Ahead of this year’s event, the princess filmed a special with eight-time Wimbledon champion Roger Federer, who will retire from the sport in 2022. In the film, the royal and professional highlighted the skills and dedication of the annual sporting event’s famous Ball. Ball boys and girls.

On Tuesday, Kate watched a series of matches at the South West London Sports Ground, where the championships are being held, including a game between Britain’s Katie Boulter and Australia’s Daria Saville.

During this game, international broadcast cameras captured a video of the princess engrossed in the action, which was later shared on Wimbledon’s official TikTok account.

Captioning “All eyes on me,” the account posted footage of Kate at the end of the day’s events, showing the royal moving her head from side to side after a ball game on the field. Kate’s move was reflected in the crowd around her, which included former British pro player and Wimbledon’s first female chair Deborah Jevans.

TikTok video has been viewed almost half a million times in less than 24 hours and has received 31,000 likes and numerous comments, many praising Kate’s interest in the sport and the humorous actions of viewers.

“I could never go to a tennis match because I would laugh at the audience,” wrote one TikTok user.

“I wonder if she can really relax and enjoy the games when she’s aware of all the cameras on her etc,” another wrote of Kate, adding: “She’s great Queen material.”

After watching the game between Boulter and Saville, Kate moved to the prestigious Center Court, where she sat in the royal box to watch Britain’s Andy Murray play his compatriot Ryan Peniston.

The royal was joined by Roger Federer, making his first appearance at the Wimbledon Championships as a spectator since his retirement, and was greeted with a standing ovation as he took his seat next to Kate.

For the occasion, the princess cut a stylish figure wearing a vintage 1980s blazer by French fashion house Balmain. Styled something reminiscent of something the late Princess Diana would have worn at Wimbledon, Kate’s pistachio green blazer featured a contrasting white lapel and collar with crisp white buttons.

The royal completed her look with a pleated white skirt, white heels and a white handbag.
