Columbia, SC The South Carolina women’s tennis team was recognized as an All-Academic Team by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) for the tenth consecutive season this year.
To be named to the All-Academic Team, a program must have a team grade point average of 3.2 or higher, all student-athletes must be listed on the department’s eligibility sheet, and all varsity letter winners must count toward the cumulative team GPA. the current academic year.
The women’s tennis team posted a 3.57 semester mark during the fall and brought the team’s GPA to 3.69 for the spring semester. In addition to their strong GPA performance, the entire team also made the AD Honor Roll during both the fall and spring semesters.
In addition to the teams, All-Academic honors, rising junior Sarah Hamner he was also named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, his second consecutive year of earning the distinction.
To be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, a minimum GPA of 3.5 is required and must be on the institution’s eligibility form.
