Well, folks, this week we have an interview with the top fan of Aitkin Gobblers tennis.
It was an honor to finally meet him and talk a little about the season and his thoughts. I asked him how he became such a big fan of both the girls ’and boys’ tennis teams, and he commented: You know, I just saw something happening on the courts and when I checked it, they caught my attention and so I kept coming back. He has been on the pitch not only in all the matches held in 2020-2021, but also for several years before. The weather didn’t seem to be an issue, I dress warmly, always in my gray clothes, but finally this year they gave me my own sweater. It was really cool and I use it proudly.
Coach Jen Waldorf had to pass on a comment during our interview and it really showed the love this guy loves towards tennis players. It’s fun when I call a team meeting on the field, he comes out to join in. to him, he is there every day. How many fans can say so. I asked if he lived nearby, and he said, Yeah, I live in the neighborhood, within walking distance, of course.
I had to ask why tennis, what drew him to the tennis court regardless of the season? You know it close by and I see every day the love these kids have for playing tennis. I never got a sport as an adult, so I live as an alternate through Gobblers. He hopes to exist for many years. I asked him his secret about a long life, and he filled me: Eat right, Practice and live every day and keep your feet on the ground. It would be five feet for our guests this week, thank you Grayson and see you in court.
