What is Sarris’ reputation in Italy?
Sarri is still very much appreciated.
Although his episode in Naples is considered the zenith of his long leadership career, it is still the benchmark against which all teams ’style of play is judged in Italy, the 62-year-old has since added silverware he lacked at Stadio Diego Armando Maradona winning Europa League with Chelsea and then with Scudetto Juventus.

Was Sarris meeting expected?
Frankly, it’s a bit of a surprise that Sarri’s new job isn’t the subject of an honest title competition.
Ultimately, Lazio’s job came to the fore when Inter lured Simone Inzaghi out of the capital to succeed Antonio Conte.
Inzagh’s system was considered more compatible with Inter’s current team than Sarri’s own very specific philosophy.
