TORONTO – A shoulder injury that pushed the Raptors forward Pascal SiakamThe early season is likely to force him to stay early next season as well.
Raptors said Friday that Siakam had surgery last week to repair a torn left shoulder labrum with a predicted recovery and rehabilitation time of five months. This schedule would mean Siakam could play again in early November – about two weeks after the NBA plans to open the 2021-22 season.
Siakam was injured on May 8 against Memphis Grizzlies, two days after he was committed to the best of his career by scoring 44 points against the Washington Wizards. The 2020 NBA All-Star left Toronto for the last four games due to injury.
He led the Raptors in scoring this goal by an average of 21.4 points. He also led the Raptors in minutes (2006) and the matches began (56).
