Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic produced a fascinating performance that left everyone watching the epic confrontation in the French Open spell. Defending champion Nadal was eventually defeated by Roland Garros – his third loss in 108 matches in Paris in 16 years. The 1st place in the Serbian world won an epic 4-hour 11-minute 3-6, 6-3, 7-6 (7/4), 6-2 to reach the French Open final, where he will face Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas. Fans from around the world poured their hats on Djokovic and Nadal for their wonderful tennis experience. Not only fans, Indian cricket stars like Ravichandran Ashwin and Washington Sundar also went about what had happened in Paris between the greatness of the two tennis courts.

“This isn’t just tennis! This is the highest level of benchmarking. #NovakvsNadal,” tweeted Ashwin.

“Nadal lost the semifinals while Roland Garros was one of the founders. Bizarre Times! An inhumane effort from every single point,” wrote Washington Sundar before tweeting, “Intensity. Mere passion. Absolute Delight.”

Dinesh Karthik could not believe his watching and tweeted twice, urging the fans to “watch this match again”.

Former Indian cricket Wasim Jaffer once again chose a fun route to weigh Djokovic’s spectacular victory.

It was Nadal’s first loss in 14 semi-finals in the French capital.

With Nadal’s victory, the Serbian superstar stays on the road in 19th major and is the first man in more than 50 years to have won all four slams twice.
