Wimbledon 2021: Ravichandran Ashwin spotted playing tennis on “Henman Hill”

Away from cricket, Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin was found to be enjoying live tennis on Monday at Wimbledon 2021. Ashwin also shared his enthusiasm for watching the game live by sharing a moment from his visit to Henman Hill on Instagram. “Still in high tennis yesterday,” Ashwin wrote the picture. He called the experience a “dream.” Cricket from Delhi Capitals (DC) also used the hashtag “Wimbledon 2021”. Ashwin’s wife, Prithi Narayanan, responded to the message by writing a “cough” while writing a funny spinning wizard.

In another downloaded Instagram from the same place, Ashwin could be seen posing with the viewer and written it on “Henman Hill.”

Henman Hill has an amphitheater outside the courts in Wimbledon. Named after Tim Henman, the British who made it to the four Wimbledon semi-finals, the area has a large TV screen where people enjoy the matches.

Ashwin’s former Indian and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) teammate Subramaniam Badrinath was among the first to comment on the post.

“Fish, Ash,” he wrote.

Fans also shared the excitement as they dropped a red heart and a smiling face with heart and eye smileys in the comment field of the post.

A few even asked the Indian ace about the match, he watched. “What Wimbledon match are you watching sir?” the user asked.

“Who’s your all-time favorite tennis player, Ash?” questioned another.

Ashwin was last seen in action during the finals of the India and New Zealand World Cups at the Rose Bowl in Southampton.

Ashwin took four goals (both innings combined) and made a valuable 22 strokes in the first rounds when India lost the match by eight goals.

Ashwin will return to fieldwork next month as India take on England in a five-match test series. Currently, Ashwin is enjoying a three-week break from biobubble and cricket with other members of the Indian forces in India.
