MLB All-Star Game 2021: Oakland with Matt Olson joining the 2021 Home Run Derby

Oakland As has only one lone representative in the 2021 MLB All-Star game, although it is one of the best teams on the big teams and is currently able to make its fourth straight season. But at least now this lone representative will call twice in the coming weeks!

The first baseman Matt Olson attending the Home Run Derby, he announced himself on Twitter. Olson had already chosen an All-Star spot for his first career this summer, and now hell is taking part in his first Derby while there. The event is scheduled for Monday at Coors Field in Colorado.

As Slugger is the obvious choice for the annual strength show. His 20 households have been tied for ninth in the biggest companies despite playing in one of the toughest home parks to go deep, and his rumble has been honored in the league since its 2017 outbreak when he hit 24 dingers in 59 games.

With Olson involved, there will now be the following six competitors on the 2021 field, with two more seats filled:

Currently absent are three juniors (Vlad, Tatis, Acua), 21 home clubs (Devers, Gallo, Semien) and some superstars who have previously won Derby (Stanton 2016, Judge 2017, Harper 2018). Of those nine names, seven are already going to the All-Star Game.

Oakland has a rich history at HR Derby since its inception in 1985, including three wins. Mark McGwire took over the 1992 competition and Yoenis Cespedes won back-to-back versions in 2013-14. Cespedes is one of only two players (with Ken Griffey Jr.) who has won in consecutive years, and one in three (Griffey and Prince Fielder) has won several times at all. Recently, Matt Chapman participated in 2019, but was dropped in the first round by Vlad Guerrero Jr.
