Chris Eubank pays tribute to his son Sebastian, who is found dead in Dubai Boxing News

Chris Eubank says he is “destroyed” by the death of his son Sebastian, who was found dead in Dubai.

The 29-year-old had followed his father and brother Chris Eubank Jr. to the ring by starting his boxing career with two victories.

Eubank’s elder honored his son, saying he was “a deep thinker who wanted to challenge and accept wisdom.”

He said in a statement: “I never imagined writing these words or experiencing the feeling I now have of the loss of my son. My family and I are corrupted to hear of Sebastian’s death a few days before what would have been his 30th birthday.

“He leaves his wife Salman, his son Raheem, who was born just a month ago, his mother Karron Meadows, brothers Nathanael, Chris, Jr., Joseph, one sister Emily, and countless relatives and friends.

“Sebastian grew up in Hove, England, but over the past few years, he spent his life in Dubai, where he had a wide circle of friends and was a leader in adopting healthy lifestyles and alternative therapies.

“In addition to being a personal trainer and professional boxer, Sebastian was also a deep thinker who wanted to challenge accepted wisdom. Everyone who knew him loved and respected him. He is forever in the minds of friends and family.

“As a family, we now kindly ask for space and privacy to celebrate her life and remember her son, brother, husband, friend.”

Sebastian’s mother, Karron Meadows, added: “Our whole family is grieving for the huge loss of our son and brother Sebastian. Respect our grief and privacy as we try to understand our loss.”

Adam Smith, Head of Boxing Development at Sky Sports, said: “Our hearts extend to the entire Eubank family we know so well in the Sky area.

“We are shocked to hear this tragic news and we are thinking about them all at this terrible moment.”
