Wikipedia defines pickle ball as a paddleball sport that combines elements of badminton, table tennis, and tennis. Naturally, people may still have some questions about what a pickle is, even after reading this description. If so, Farthest North Pickleball Club has the answers for you.
FNPC will host an introduction to the pickle course today from 1pm to 3pm at the 2nd field of Big Dipper Ice Arena. There is no entrance fee, anyone and everyone is welcome, and the only requirement is to sign a publication form.
The purpose of the event is to inform people about the zucchini and teach them the basics. The sport is aimed primarily at the elderly community and is expected to involve up to 80 people already planning to participate. The field is closest to the hospital, and parking is on either side of the fields.
Additional events will be included in a timely manner, hoping to expand the events to other locations around Fairbanks. Other questions can be answered upon arrival.
