Start times for all football games indicated

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – UNI Football will start four of the five home games at 4 p.m., with the sole exception of the season finale against Western Illinois, which begins at 1 p.m. The opening phase of the opening strike against the state of Iowa was also postponed an hour back at 3:30 p.m.

The Panthers will open a home schedule with DI newcomer St. Thomas on Sept. 18 at 4 p.m., before Valley starts playing with Youngstown State on Oct. 2. The Panthers hosted South Dakota on Oct. 16 and Southern Illinois on Oct. 30 before closing. Regular season at home on November 20 against WIU.

The opening of the UNI season in the state of Iowa was scheduled to begin at 2:30 p.m., but was moved back to match the Big 12 television show. The game against the state of Sacramento is scheduled for 8 p.m. CT, the South Dakota State road tournament game will begin at 2 p.m., and the game against North Dakota State will begin at 1 p.m. On November 6, the Illinois State tournament is scheduled to begin at 12 p.m., and the game against the state of Missouri begins at 2 p.m.

UNI was selected 15th on the FCS Athlon Preseason list. The Panthers will restore several players injured during the spring season, along with the MVFC Defender of the Year Jared Brinkman. UNI placed 3-4 in the spring season. Each loss came to a team that had advanced to the FCS playoffs, and all four losses came with a total of 15 points.
