The Bismarck Bobcats began their 25th season in 2021, hoping to make it memorable by adding young promising players to this year’s NAHL draft.
The Bobcats chose 16th place in this year’s draft, two selections in the first round, and they will go on defense in their first two selections. Their first choice is Charlie Larsen, from Minoti, who has played junior hockey in recent seasons in Colorado. Head coach Layne Sedevie says Larsen is a player who is comfortable handling a puck that can cause an injury from position.
“For me, that was our main concern,” Sedevie says. “He was a guy who, I like D being able to advance the puck and get on the play and let them evolve that way. He’s a big reason that his game fits what we’re doing here, and I think he’s going to be really good with us.
