Cubs feeders cannot find a command at a loss to DBack

PHOENIX When you trust a command and the command goes astray, it can make for a frustrating afternoon. That’s how it went for the Cubs right-handed Zach Davies in a 6-4 loss on Sunday to the Diamondbacks. Davies never found his command and went into several deep calculations.

The game looked like it would go out of Davies on the fourth inning as he walked Eduardo Escobar leads away. After the bases were loaded and no one was outside, Escobar scored a third Pavin Smiths single that loaded the soles.

But Davies was able to get out of the jam, getting a popout and a 6-4-3 double in time. He gave two strokes and six hits in four innings with three strikes and four visits.

Some [the walks] are just bats that I try to throw fields at certain places I didn’t hit exactly, trying to get the guys to chase, Davies said. You try to be there a little deeper out of the game.

I try to move past it as fast as I can. I’m not happy about it in any way, but there’s another one that gets him after. So just try to translate the page quickly.

The command was also a problem for the feeders who followed Davies. The puppies made 11 strokes (two on purpose), three of which came to the finish line. The dough that hit in the seventh field also scored.

Today we were not very sharp [on the mound]. Too many free passports to be honest with your manager David Ross said.

The free balls are a little frustrating, but otherwise we played pretty well.

The puppies demand Schwindel for athletics

The Cubs claimed the first founder Frank dizzy athletics and chose him Triple-A Iowa.

The 29-year-old Schwindel has a .114 / .114 / .229 slash, one home run and three RBIs in 14 Premier League matches. He has a respectable .287 / .321 / .481 slash with 134 homers in eight sub-league seasons. The Cubs 40-man list is now full.

He said it

Ross Rowan Wicks return to the mound: He is on his way back to being healthy and well. And the fact that he had a nice outing and he’s gotten good today is a really nice sign. It’s great to see him compete again.
