An “American bomber” has been spotted on Google Maps flying in Chinese airspace as tensions between the two great powers become increasingly frayed over the Taiwan issue.
Relations have deteriorated in recent months as China asserted its claim to Taiwan, an island about 100 miles off its southeastern coast.
The United States has given its support to Taiwan – which does not want to be absorbed by China – and this has created a war of words and fears of a more tangible war between the two nations struggling to be the first world power.
The increase in Chinese military activity in Taiwan, including warplanes in Taiwanese airspace and ships near the coast, has caused global concern.

And now, some people think that the United States, which has publicly supported Taiwan, is responding by sending warplanes into Chinese airspace.
Google Maps users have been fascinated by the sight of what appears to be an invisible plane flying over the cultivated fields.
The aircraft looks like a United States Air Force B2 Stealth Bomber, a two-man stealth aircraft designed during the Cold War.
A Reddit user posted pictures of the plane apparent with the caption: “Google Maps can see stealth planes” and received 1.5k positive votes, reports the Daily Star.

The B-2 jet is capable of full-altitude attack missions up to 50,000 feet.
The gray arrow-shaped jet in the image appears to be moving so fast that it is blurred on the camera at the coordinates of 39 ° 01’18.5 “N, 93 ° 35’40.5” E.
These coordinates belong to the Kazakh Autonomous County of Aksay, Jiuquan, Gansu, China, an area in the northwest of the country the size of Hawaii, on the northern border of the Tibetan Plateau, which is home to approximately 10,000 people.
In recent months, Beijing’s local media have expressed concern over military activity.

Last month, reports surfaced that a US warship sailed through the Taiwan Strait despite mounting tensions as China threatens to take the country by force.
It was part of what the US military has called “routine activity,” but the Chinese government believes its rival is trying to escalate the tensions further.
According to the South China Morning Post, the US Navy said guided missile destroyer Arleigh Burke Milius conducted a “routine transit of the Taiwan Strait” through international waters on Tuesday.
The Navy statement added: “The ship’s transit through the Taiwan Strait demonstrates the US commitment to a free and open Indo-Pacific. The US military flies, sails and operates wherever international law allows it. “
