Samsung is suspending the One UI 4.0 update for the Galaxy S21 series due to Google Play issues

[ad_1]

Samsung started rolling out One UI 4.0 alongside Android 12 a couple of weeks ago, but a newly discovered problem has now put the rollout on hold. The company had to stop the update for the Galaxy S21 series in South Korea due to incompatibility issues with Google Play.

According to a forum post by a Samsung community moderator, the problem with the Google Play Store is not just with the Korean OEM, but Google also needs to look into it. So, until both tech giants fix the problem, One UI 4.0 won’t roll out further.

We don’t really know how widespread this problem is, but perhaps it is mainly limited to the South Korean market and it was enough for Samsung to stop the OTA update.
