Larvitar protagonist of the first Pokemon Go Community Day Classic of 2023

With Community Day with Chespin scheduled for this weekend, Niantic has officially revealed details on the first Pokemon Go Community Day Classic of 2023, which will highlight the Pokemon Rock Skin, Larvitar.

The Pokemon Go Community Day Classic will take place on June 21 from 2-5pm local time. Larvitar will appear much more frequently during this time, and any Larvitar that has evolved into Pupitar and then final form Tyranitar during the event will know a special fast attack called Smack Down.

Larvitar will appear in the Community Day Classic in January.

The event will also unlock extra bonuses for participating trainers, including increased incense and Lure module duration to three hours, as well as triple experience each time a Pokemon is caught.

Like previous events, a unique Larvitar-themed Special Research will be available for purchase in the Pokemon Go app. Tickets will cost $1, and completing tasks will give players additional chances to catch Larvitar along with other bonuses.

Pokemon Go is now available for free download on iOS and Android devices.
