Savvy Google Maps users have discovered how Brits can hide their homes on Street View.
A quick change to your settings can help protect your privacy online, so stalkers and burglars can’t control your home.

The trick is to blur your house from Street View.
To do this, go to the Google Maps website on your computer and enter your home address in the search bar at the top right of the page.
Click your home photo when it appears and hit Report a problem in the bottom right.
Then, like magic, you can use your mouse to choose which parts of your property you want to keep hidden from the internet.
You will be asked to provide a bit of detail about what exactly you want to blur, in case the image is filled with cars, people and other objects.
And remember: once you blur something in Street View, it’s permanently blurry.
Since the launch of Google Street View in 2007, 87 countries on all seven continents have been extensively mapped.
However, there are still some countries that don’t have Street View due to privacy concerns.
South America, Costa Rica, Venezuela and Paraguay do not have a street view.
In Africa, only Senegal, Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe, South Africa and Botswana offer street view.
You cannot view China, India, Iran, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Afghanistan, Nepal, Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Syria, Iraq, Oman, Yemen, Papua New Guinea, and North Korea.
In Germany you can only see a few big cities.
