RTIH: What are your retail forecasts for 2023?
IM: Pop-up stores or flash retail will see a resurgence in 2023 as retailers leverage in-person retail for key product launches, keeping costs low but delivering the customer experience, through channels, that today’s consumers want.
This should be integrated and part of an ecommerce strategy, providing clicks and collects to customers during these times.
I also strongly believe that marketplaces will become more and more popular next year.
With the acceleration and sheer number of ecommerce brands entering the market over the last couple of years, competition is fierce and standing out and driving traffic has become more difficult. That’s why stores should direct customers to their brand through a trusted marketplace.
With increasing volatility in the UK, integrating an end-to-end solution will be essential in 2023. Enabling retailers to scale their operations risk-free and have a 360-degree view of their business, all in one place .
Finally, data will be king this year. As mentioned above, intelligent data automation will enable retailers to streamline key business operations and save them valuable time, resources and money.
