As left-wing revolutionaries further revitalize and institutionalize racism, a Colorado woman fights back. The government, she insists, cannot discriminate against people on a racial basis.

Before examining Sara Rogers ‘federal lawsuit against President Joe Bidens’ administration, consider a healthier time in the United States when then-President Barack Obama held the White House. In 2010, a deceptive and poorly controlled story appeared on the TV news and spread across the Internet and mainstream media. It was an allegedly outrageous music video of a federal employee, Shirley Sherrod, saying something racist.

Sherrod worked as the Obama administration’s rural development director in Georgia for the US Department of Agriculture. The video shows Sherrod addressing a meeting of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People in March 2010.

On video, Sherrod recounts his past mission to work with a white farmer who needed federal help to save his farm. Sherrod tells the audience how she resisted helping the man because he was white and too many blacks were losing farms.

So I didn’t give him the full force of what I could do, Sherrod told the audience. Instead, she handed the farmer over to a white lawyer because her family would take care of him.

Shortly after the clip went viral, the Obama administration fired Sherrod for making seemingly racist comments. Then NAACP President Benjamin Jealous tweeted that his organization was appalled by Sherrods’ video. He condemned the racist behavior towards anyone, black or white.

In a few days, the scandal changed course. The Obama administration apologized for firing Sherrod, and the White House offered him an attractive appointment that she refused to accept.

The government apologized because a look at the full, unedited video made it clear that Sherrod had told the story to contextualize his conversion from racism. Sherrod told the audience that she was wrong to discriminate, because the farmers’ color white was irrelevant.

The problem was poverty, and she learned that it hurts people, regardless of their genetics. She and the white farmer have developed a long-term friendship. Neither was racist, and each learned from each other.

Fast forward to the neo-racist movement of 2021 and the deceptively edited video wouldn’t hurt Sherrod for a moment. It would more likely earn him a price. In contrast, a full view of the unedited comments could cause Sherrods to fall in 2021.

After all, it reveals the state of mind of a woman who believes that poverty hurts people of all ethnicities. It is blasphemy among the left-wing revolutionaries who helped elect Biden and insist that all whites oppress all non-whites.

Today, the distorted, scandalous and racist-sounding part of Sherrods’ speech would be in line with federal policy.

Think of Rogers. She is a young, third-generation white farmer near the village of Otis in the Eastern Plains. Almost 98% of the 535 residents are white, yet no one can say they are economically privileged. While the median household income statewide is nearly $ 73,000, Otis households earn less than half of it with a median income of $ 31,333. That’s less than half of median household incomes in Aurora, where non-white minorities make up more than half of the population. Obviously, economic forces don’t care about white, black or brown.

Financially languishing farmers could use the help of the 2021 US Bidens bailout act. This should be perfect for farmers like Rogers, as it provides $ 4 billion for loan cancellation to socially disadvantaged farmers.

Rogers and other members of his community do not need to apply due to the neo-racism institutionalized by the federal government in Bidens. Because Rogers and his neighbors are white, they don’t qualify. Here’s what the USDA website says about potential candidates.

Section 1005 of the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) includes provisions allowing the USDA to pay up to 120% of the loan balance … to any socially disadvantaged producer who has an eligible loan with the FSA . This includes growers who are one or more of the following: Black / African American, American Indian, Alaskan Native, Hispanic / Latino, Asian American, or Pacific Islander.

Maybe Biden thinks minority farmers can’t function like white farmers without his help. What an insult. Financial decisions made on a racial basis are racist. This is why we have long banned the racist banking practice of redlining, in which banks refuse loans on the basis of race. This is why Rogers is wise to sue and non-racists from all walks of life should hope that she wins.

This blatant racial discrimination is not only illegal and unconstitutional, but it also fuels racial tensions at a time when unity is most needed in this country, says the Mountain States Legal Foundation, which represents Rogers.

The simple act of explaining past and momentary racial prejudice cost Sherrod his job during the Obama years. In the days of Biden, who has a history of racist comments and alliances with segregationists and a former Klan leader, racist treatment of farmers is required by law.

Ten years ago, under Obama’s leadership, Americans could not have imagined this racist federal disgrace and regression during the era of government-sanctioned segregation. How sad for the cause of social justice.
