Former Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick joined Jim Braude in Greater Boston to discuss his work advising the Biden administration on the future of technology, the state of national politics and the explosive report regarding New York Governor Andrew Cuomo and numerous allegations of sexual harassment.
With the White House, Patrick is addressing the proliferation of disinformation, which he says is a serious problem for public health and the preservation of democracy. He also highlighted his continued work to ensure high speed internet access for underserved communities.
Access is sometimes the availability of the basic service, and in other cases it’s the affordability of the service, he said. High speed internet is not a luxury, it is not about entertainment. It’s about education, health care and business, and your ability to participate in the wider civic and economic life of your community. ”
Patrick did not call for Governor Cuomo’s resignation, but said the allegations should be taken seriously. These are very, very serious accusations from a very credible source, he said. There must be an account. If my opinion matters, hell take these allegations seriously and not dismiss them out of hand.
