The father reported the allegations to his family doctor, who said the Department of Child and Family Development had called and would follow up.
The boy then repeated the allegations to the doctor. The father informed the mother’s lawyer of the allegations and demand that the practices cease immediately. He said he would only accept mother-supervised parenthood from then on.
The mother denied that she used urinary therapy on the child. She said she gave the boy a jar to pee in to monitor his lymphatic system, saying it was a well-known way to check if his kidneys were filtering.
In a ruling on the case, Master Kimberley Robertson noted that both parents had criticized the alternate approach to parenthood with the issue of holistic health practices being one of the many things they disagreed with. The role of the courts was to determine whether the parenthood of either parent posed a risk of harm to the child to justify a parent being required to have supervised parenthood, the master said.

The evidence from both sides was sometimes overstated in terms of the other’s wrongdoing, but the plaintiff fathers’ evidence was generally more balanced and child-centered, Robertson said.
Ultimately, the gist of this claim can be summed up by the following statement made by the claimant in his affidavit: (The respondent) is his mother and she loves him, but she is sick and her judgment and her health are questionable right now, ”says Robertson. I agree with this conclusion.
On an interim basis, the mother will have supervised parenting time with supervision provided either by a professional group or by a third party.
