Kannur: Haritha’s new secretary general Rumaisa Rafeeq has said that the allegations against MSF state president PK Nawaz are a closed chapter. She informed that the party warned Nawaz about the controversial remark and that she had not tried to find out more about the matter. At the same time, Rumaisa also noted that the party made the right decision.

“The Muslim League never limits the questioning of injustice. Party policy is to fight injustice within the party. The election of the new committee is an indication that the party will take action when a problem arises, ”she said.

She said the Haritha aims to advance students and give them a chance to be a part of politics.

“The party places more importance on Haritha than on the Women’s League. The recent elections of local bodies prove it, ”she said, addressing the media.

There was no indication that I would become part of the new body. The party leadership chose the new committee. Even I learned of my appointment as secretary general through the media, Rumaisa said.
