NewsmaxhostGrant Stinchfield, a former Republican congressional candidate turned TV personality, lost his temper on Wednesday after a guest mildly criticized former President Donald Trump.
Stinchfield cut off the power of his guest, Iraq War veteran Joe Saboe, when Sabo suggested that Trump bore at least part of the responsibility for the chaotic American withdrawal from Afghanistan. He then shouted loudly that no one was going to blame Trump for anything on his agenda although Saboe’s microphone had already been muted and there was no one else for Stinchfield to speak.
Saboe rose to prominence as the leader of an loosely organized group called “Team America,” a grassroots effort of hundreds of volunteers to help Americans and their allies escape Taliban-controlled Afghanistan, according to the report. New York Times.
He began the interview by discussing with Stinchfield the merits of calling the withdrawal from Afghanistan a “hostage situation”, as well as the question of who should be held responsible. The two initially exchanged respectful thoughts on the matter.

“I can tell you that didn’t happen under President Trump, and I know there are a lot of people on the left who want to try and blame President Trump. He really wanted to leave Afghanistan,” he said. Stinchfield said. “He was really frustrated that he couldn’t get out, but he didn’t back down because he knew it was going to happen. In fact, we all did.”
But Saboe responded by saying he believed the blame also lay with the Trump administration.
“We respect, Grant, these veterans, and me being one, and our friends are out there,” Saboe replied. “We are following this closely from several administrations, and we know that the Trump administration’s efforts here were quite weak, that they were trying to limit the number of people who would come out, and so there were coordination issues.”
Then, at the flick of a switch, the right-wing Newsmax host became enraged not only by raising his voice but also raising his finger.
“Cut it, please. Cut it now! Cut it now! You’re not going to blame President Trump on my show!” He shouted. “I appreciate the work you do. God bless you for being a veteran, God bless you for trying to get the Americans out, but don’t come on this agenda and don’t take the talking points from the left. and blame President Trump! It doesn’t help anyone. “
The Newsmax host also offered a tee shot: “The Biden administration screwed this up from the start.”
Newsmax did not return a request for comment to the Show on this matter.
But this isn’t the first time Stinchfield has lost his lead on the right-hand channel while he is live.
“Do you have a law enforcement pin on your lapel?” He raged. “I don’t think you do, Joe!”
