Scotland Yard will not investigate allegations of sexual abuse against the Duke of York, according to reports.

The Met reportedly spoke to accuser Virginia Giuffre and decided not to pursue her allegations.

The prince is facing civil action in the United States which was brought by Ms Giuffre, who claims she raped her when she was 17.

The Met has also reportedly decided not to take further action regarding Ms Giuffres’ allegations against the late pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, who she claims trafficked her when the alleged incidents with Andrew took place.

Ms Giuffre said she was forced to have sex with Prince Andrew at Ghislaine Maxwell’s London home in 2001 when she was around 17.

She also said she was forced to have sex with him at the Epstein mansion in New York City and on his private island.

Prince Andrew and Ms Maxwell deny the allegations against them.

Police did not confirm whether she had spoken to Ms Giuffre recently.

In August, Met Police Commissioner Cressida Dick said the force would monitor developments in the civil action against Prince Andrew in the United States and reconsider its position not to open an investigation into the allegations. .

The Met has looked into Ms Giuffres’ allegations at least twice since 2015, but has never opened an investigation, saying the case is under US authorities.

The force reportedly said it would continue to work with U.S. police on matters relating to Epstein.

A statement reported in The Mirror said: As a procedural matter, MPS agents reviewed a document released in August 2021 as part of a US civil action. This review is complete and we are taking no further action.

We have also reviewed information provided to us by a media organization in June 2021. This review has been completed and no further action will be taken.

Lawyers for Prince Andrews have until October 29 to file responses to Ms Giuffres’ trial. His lawyers admitted it was served in late September, weeks after Ms Giuffres’ lawyers said they filed the complaint.

Lawyers for the royals were allowed this week to review a 2009 settlement between Ms Giuffre and Epstein that they say will end the lawsuit against him.
