KOLKATA: The Trinamool Congress (TMC) on Monday refuted allegations of the alleged murder of a leader of the youth wing of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Uttar Dinajpur. The BJP alleged that Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) vice president of Uttar Dinajpur Mithun Ghosh was shot dead by TMC attackers in Itahar. Refuting the allegations, TMC State Secretary General and Party Spokesman Kunal Ghosh said, “Why will TMC assassinate him (BJYM Vice President Mithun Ghosh)? We don’t know what exactly happened, but the police are investigating the case. Suvendu Adhikari’s claim is unfounded. BJP has internal clashes between them. By leveling the allegations on TMC for the murder, the BJP is trying to avoid its own internal issues. “Ghosh’s remarks came against the background of allegations by West Bengal opposition leader Suvendu Adhikari on TMC regarding the alleged murder of its BJP leader, Mithun Ghosh.” Uttar Dinajpur Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) VP Mithun Ghosh was shot dead by assailants in Itahar. It’s TMC’s work written all over the place. The bloodthirsty anti-social hunting dogs who carried out their master’s orders would be taken to task when the tide turns. We will not forget Mithun Ghosh, ”Adhikari tweeted.
