It would be a good day for the Giants employee in charge of the coaching helmets to call in sick.
After Joe Judge expressed his frustrations with the weekly issues of failing helmets against the Giants and causing the loss of downtime, the NFL expressed its belief that technological failures are on the team’s side.
“We are reviewing the matter with all parties concerned; However, we are convinced that nothing is attributable to the Bose headphones, ”a league spokesperson told The Post.
“We have not been able to identify a problem in [Monday] evening game with the Giants communication system.
“We were not made aware of any issues during the match by the club through our standard communication channels which are used to identify match day issues.”
Giants coach Joe Judge holds on to his helmet during the team’s loss to the Chiefs on November 1, 2021.
Then Giants coach Ben McAdoo was fined $ 50,000 and the team fined $ 150,000 in 2016 for illegally using a walkie-talkie on the sidelines.
Five years later, Judge is so frustrated that he might be willing to take the risk.
“Whoever is responsible, I don’t know if it’s through the league or us exactly, but they need to get it fixed quickly,” Judge said. ‘That’s it.”
The Giants are the only club to publicly raise this issue this season and the judge says it’s happening at home and away.
“The helmets were going out,” the judge said. “It has happened in every game so far. We’re dealing with the league and they keep telling us about different software updates or whatever.
