The rivalry between Chelsea and Arsenal has become much more established as the Blues received major financial backing from Roman Abramovich. Chelsea started to fight for titles and trophies while Arsenal had to fight for Champions League qualification.
This has only heightened the aversion to Arsenal among many Chelsea supporters and some would argue that they view West London in an even worse light than their neighbors in North London. Social media has only increased the frequency with which fans of both clubs can chat with each other.
However, the writers and editors of CareFree Chelsea decided to throw controversial topics in the ring and were even polite enough to invite the team at The Arsenal Way to respond to a number of what could be described simply as unpopular views.

To start with, we had one of our own, captain of the team during the early years of London dominance in John Terry who ended his career with fifteen trophies and ended his career as a defender with the most goals ever. scored for a defender in the Premier League.
For the past ten years or more, the club have dominated academic football and Arsenal have not been visible anywhere.
Of course there have been some decent players at Arsenal as well, but you can’t just sit there and say he’s stronger than Cobham.
Two UEFA Youth League titles, one next-generation title and seven FA Youth Cups in nine years, five of them in a row. .
Players who do not succeed in our academy often go to Arsenal afterwards.
The clubs selling our academy players for £ 25million to Fikayo Tomori, £ 34million to Tammy Abraham and £ 20million to Marc Guehi. Personally I’m not happy with these sales but the fact that we can get around £ 79million for three academy players with a lot more to choose from shows the choices we have to choose from in the academy.
Arsenal produced great players but for me Fabregas is a Barcelona product they cling to and showed his true colors as soon as he got the chance to come back, Gnabry became a great player after leaving you. I wouldn’t shed light on selling a player for £ 5million to become a top player when you’ve spent £ 75million on someone who does half the work at Pepe at best .
Cobham has produced talent for many years and still has the club’s largest number of players representing all age groups in England whenever an international break presents itself. The conveyor belt never stops, as you see with Tariq Lamptey, Tino Livramento, and Reece James all arriving around the same time.
Chelsea loan quality players to the academy as shown with Conor Gallagher, Billy Gilmour etc. Levels in this game.
Chris Davison, Writer / Content Writer, response:
While I agree Chelsea have a solid academy, they are still miles from Hale End.
For years, Arsenal have produced some of the best talent in the country. Year after year we the fans sit here and enjoy the success they have in the Emirates. As you make them so slowly.
They work hard within the academy knowing that if they do well they will have their chance for the Gunners – something that cannot be said for most of these poor young Cobhams.
I mean, I can see why Chelsea are such an attractive option if you’re a young player. You will have the chance to travel the world when the club sends you a thousand times on loan. Not bad.
Come on Scott, we know there is only one winner here.
I inserted this photo for you here Chris. Anita Abayomi: London turned blue as soon as Roman Abramovich arrived
Since Roman Abramovich took over, the trajectory has changed. London was once Arsenal’s playground, but there has been a shift in power. Despite the unbelievable success of the Invincibles and their remarkable achievements in the league, Chelsea have somewhat eclipsed the Gunners for the past two decades thanks to this all-important takeover.
Two Champions League trophies coupled with two Europa League successes show the extent of the power shift in London.
Chelsea do not accept an FA Cup and a top four as a great season. Others including Tottenham including Arsenal including West Ham would see this as progress as we welcome it as an expectation.
Times have changed, the dynamics have changed, London is blue and we will challenge everyone to win our crown.
Tom Canton, Writer / Presenter of The Arsenal Way, response:
To deny that power has changed since Abramovich’s takeover would be naive, but to claim Chelsea have suddenly become London’s biggest club is another thing.
The Champions League trophies are a big achievement, but picking up a few doesn’t replace the seven league title gap. Once Chelsea close that gap, we can start talking about the size of the club.
If Arsenal failed to bridge the current gap between the clubs, the seven-title chasm would surely close again, but until then London remains red and so is the crown.
Romelu Lukaku disagrees with Jake Stokes: Arsenal fans more obsessed with talking about Callum Hudson-Odoi than Chelsea fans
Whenever you talk to an Arsenal fan, they want to bring up Emile Smith Rowe, Bukayo Saka or Gabriel Martinelli to compare them to Callum Hudson-Odoi.
It’s easy to see that they are ignoring Mason Mount who assists in the Champions League final and shortlisted for the Ballon d’Or and comparing themselves to a seriously injured player to try and get one against Chelsea fans.
Hudson-Odoi won a Champions League, Europa League and Super Cup before he was 21 and you mean one-off appearances and matches? Do they have something to show for this?
He had a serious injury that slowed him down. It takes a while for a player to feel comfortable with the moves he was so good at before injury, but if you want to compare them to a player wanted by two well-managed clubs at Borrusia Dortmund and Bayern Munich and offering £ 50million to yours so be my guest.
Bailey Keogh, writer / presenter of The Arsenal Way, response:
Isn’t it the norm to compare your great young players with other supposedly great young players?
Mason Mount is a great player and his development is ahead of Arsenal’s youngsters as he is part of an incredible squad, but give him a few seasons before Emile Smith Rowe is in the same conversation, or better if not. than him.
No, Hudson-Odoi did not win the Champions League, the Europa League and the Super Cup. His teammates did. It’s a similar conversation when discussing the involvement of Bojan Krkic or Ibrahim Afellay in Pep Guardiola’s Barcelona success.
I’m absolutely certain that if Smith Rowe, Saka or Martinelli, even any other youngster for that matter, had played the part Hudson-Odoi played in Chelsea’s recent trophy success, they would have the same medals as well.
Callum Hudson-Odoi mocks Daniel Childs reaction: Willian, Luiz and Cech form Arsenal’s fault
All three have had much better careers at Chelsea, needless to say, but Arsenal are to blame for their poor performance. All three players played a part in Chelsea’s success, but Arsenal were unsure of how to put together a squad to get the most out of them.
All left Arsenal under bad circumstances, either pushed by Willian or on the back of a beating from Chelsea in the Europa League final at Petr Cech. The man who was a key cog in Chelsea winning the Champions League years before and saving us was bombarded with effort as Chelsea secured an easy victory in Baku.
Willian started off with a good opening day of the season where the Arsenal fans thanked us for him thinking they had one on us. After that we didn’t hear anything from them /
Chelsea’s secret agents strike again!
Tom Canton, Writer / Presenter of The Arsenal Way, response:
This is a point of view with which I find it difficult to argue. Arsenal should never have signed David Luiz or Willian. Petr Cech was a purchase that made sense considering how goalkeepers were plagued at the time, but the increase in shots he faced at Arsenal was no surprise.
Fortunately, as Daniel points out, these are Arsenal’s mistakes, but what Chelsea should be worried about now is that they are learning from them.
Recruitment in 2021 has been excellent and the days of signing bygone players are hopefully over. As Chelsea try to make the most of their £ 100million investment, Arsenal are building a squad to get them back to their rightful place.
