Lil Nas X Responds to “Industry Baby” Reviews – Billboard

[ad_1]

Lil Nas X draws the line between his new music video for “Industry Baby”, starring Jack Harlow, and the one he filmed for his Billboard Hot 100 chart “Montero (Call Me by Your Name)”.

After the release on Friday (July 23) of the new NSFW video – which, to be fair, it provided a very clear warning in advance – the rapper discovered that critics on Twitter were still at bay for his controversial visual. “Montero”, where he dances to hell and does a lap dance to Satan before killing him. A user asked for prayers for Kanye West, who co-produced “Industry Baby” with Take A Daytrip, due to LNX’s previous “demonic” release after sharing the original Billboard article on the release of “Industry Baby” .

“Glad he found Christ but there is so much compromise,” the Twitter user wrote, referring to the direction Ye’s music has taken since his back-to-back gospel projects in 2019 Jesus Is King and Jesus Is Born, the last of whom is credited to the Sunday Service Choir. “And then finding out that he helped produce this evil sonf / video that Lil Nas X made is so overwhelming.”

But the 22-year-old rapper immediately put an end to it by replying, “There was nothing demonic about the industry baby video. just say you hate moldy homosexuals.

LNX was also surprised to learn that people are disputing its latest video, which, in a widely discussed scene, depicts a group of naked men dancing in a prison shower. “Lil nas is definitely doing too much now,” wrote another Twitter user, to which Nas replied, “N-ai literally went to hell and twerked on satan but gay prison is where you draw the line. ?! “

The only connection between the two visuals is the start of the “Industry Baby” video which depicts a fictional courtroom scene between the rapper and Nike after the temporary release of his viral “Satan Shoes” in March, which he announced after dropping “Montero.” (The real legal case between Nike and MSCHF was settled in April.)
