Houston rapper Travis Scott blames Astroworld’s influx of crowds last month on the production staff who organized and produced the show that left 10 people dead and hundreds injured.
In his first interview since the November 5 disaster, Scott denied that any of his actions during his performance could have contributed to the tragedy.

Scott pointed out that there was still not enough information available to understand exactly what had happened and who ultimately bore responsibility. He did not specifically point the finger at the promoter of the concert, Live Nation, or any other entity involved in the festival.
“If it’s something harmful [happening in the crowd], someone will let you know. Or, you know, the show is just going to stop, ”he explained of his expectations for the concert, which went on for almost 40 minutes after the Houston Police Department had it. declared an event causing many victims.
Scott also denied knowing that after the show ended, someone died. He said he found it out just before the police held a press conference after the concert.
“Yes, it was only a few minutes before the press conference that I understood exactly what happened,” he said. “Even after the show you hear things. But I didn’t know the exact details until a few minutes before the press conference.
During the interview, Scott expressed his concern for the relatives of the victims, calling them “family”.
“I’ve always had a connection with the people who listened to music or came to my shows. And it’s really hard for me. They lost their loved ones. So it’s hard. ”
Scott is named among several defendants in hundreds of lawsuits brought by members of the public and relatives of those who have died. A Harris County Judicial Council on Tuesday agreed to consolidate the cases under a single judge.
