Joe Burrow was ruthless to critics after Bengals dominated Ravens

Joe Burrow isn’t here to be nice.

The Cincinnati Bengals quarterback enjoyed a historic outing on Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens, throwing for 525 yards (ranking fourth all-time in a single game) en route to a 41-21 victory. The performance took his passing yardage tally against the Ravens to 941, the most for a quarterback against a team in a single season, according to ESPN Stats & Info (via ESPN’s Ben Baby).

And while there have been criticisms of how he achieved those records – namely, criticism of his 52-yard pass as the Bengals led by 20 with two minutes remaining – Burrow shrugged.

“It’s the NFL,” Burrow told Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio after Sunday’s victory. “It’s not peewee, this is not a high school where you go out and go up the score. You play until the final whistle. I don’t care what the score is. We’ve been to places where teams come out and do this to us. They did it to us last year. No sympathy on my part.

He scored one point – the Ravens had two unbalanced wins over the Bengals last season, with wins 27-3 and 38-3.

The Bengals, now 9-6, face the Kansas City Chiefs at home in Week 17.
