Rangers youngster Amad Diallo opens up on racist abuse after Motherwell game

[ad_1]

RANGERS youngster Amad Diallo has spoken about racist insults and taunts aimed at his mum after he played in the 3-1 win over Motherwell today.

The 19-year-old, on loan from Manchester United, made a rare start for Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side in the comfortable lunchtime win at a sunny Fir Park.

However, the pacey forward was substituted off in the first-half as part of a tactically reshuffle for Rangers following Leon Balogun’s red card, as Calvin Bassey was brought on instead.

After the game, Diallo took to social media to speak out about the racist abuse.

He also paid tribute to “those who make him feel important”.

I always look on the bright side … I get racist insults, they insult my mother but as a practicing Muslim I was raised differently and my education is to respect everyone🙌🏾 … thanks to those who make me feel important a hug to you and happy sunday ♥ pic.twitter.com/BPhKzWJoaE
