After deputy, Shah Rukhs Pathaan faces criticism from Maharashtra; BJP leader calls for ban
Mumbai: After Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra raised objections to Shah Rukh Khan’s song Besharam Rang and Deepika Padukones’ upcoming film Pathaan, a Maharashtra BJP leader on Friday slammed the film and asked for clarification from the filmmakers.
Taking a photo of the filmmakers, BJP and MLA spokesperson Ram Kadam said if ‘JNU Dharis’ was meant to insult ‘Janeu Dharis’ and threatened not to allow any anti-Hindu films to be released in the state .
Taking to Twitter, the Maharashtra legislator from the saffron party wrote in Hindi, Many sadhus and sants across the country and several Hindu organizations on social media and millions of people strongly oppose the Pathaan film. Maharashtra currently has a government with a Hindutva ideology. It would be better for film producers and directors to come to the fore and make their position clear regarding the objectionable things said by sadhus and sants.
But it is certain that any movie or soap opera that insults Hindutva in the lands of Maharashtra, will not be allowed to come out here. If ‘JNU Dharis’ intentionally aims to insult ‘Janeu Dharis’?, Kadam questioned in his tweet targeting Deepika Padukone, who is continuously accused of supporting Tukde Tukde Gang at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU).
Speaking to Times Now, the BJP leader said: We have been saying for three or four days that many sadhus, sants and several Hindu organizations objected to some scenes in the teaser. Our question is why the directors and producers do not come forward and clarify the objections raised on the song. This means that they intentionally want cheap publicity, which is the reason for their silence. What is the reason?
Currently in Maharashtra, the government follows Hindutva ideology 100%. We will not allow any movie, serial which hurts the feelings of Hindus or if there are derogatory remarks or songs against Hindus, will not be tolerated in our state, he added.
Asked about the remarks of JNU Dhari’ and ‘Janeu Dhari’, Kadam said: Who went JNU when there were slogans Bharat tere tukde honge. This is an intentional insult of Janeu dhari by JNU dhari. Our sadhus and sants have objected to certain colors, producers and directors should come forward and clarify their position on this. But it is clear that any movie or series that hurts Hindu feelings will not be allowed to release in Maharashtra, the BJP MP has warned Pathaan makers.

Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra said Besharm Rang’s song “was shot with a dirty mindset”, adding that the costumes for the song “to first sight are reprehensible”.
Besharam Rang, featuring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone grooving in Spain, will be released on Monday.
The song’s costumes at first glance are objectionable. It’s obvious that the song from the movie Pathaan was shot with a bad mindset. I don’t think that’s fair, and I’ll tell the director and the makers of the movie to fix it. Previously, Deepika Padukone also came to support Tukde Tukde Gang at JNU and that’s why her mentality has come out in front of everyone before, Mishra said while speaking to ANI.
