The nomination of Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL) for president highlights racism in Washington from Democrats like Rep. Cori Bush (D-MO).
Wednesday marked the first time that two black candidates for House Speaker Donalds and Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries of New York were nominated simultaneously.
By definition, it is historic. But according to Bush, it’s unpleasant.
Rep. Bush tweeted her issues with the House Freedom Caucus nominating Donalds as an alternative to Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), who didn’t get the necessary 218 votes.
“[For what its worth], [Donalds] is not a historical candidate for the presidency. It’s a prop,” Bush said on Twitter. “Although he is black, he supports a political agenda to maintain and perpetuate white supremacy.”
“His name being in the mix is not progressing, it’s pathetic,” she continued.
FWIW, @ByronDonalds is not a historic presidential candidate. It’s an accessory. Although he is black, he supports a political agenda to maintain and perpetuate white supremacy.

Defending white supremacy, huh?
Suffice to say, Bush wants nothing less than a black GOP chair to lead the House. Such a result would contradict Democrats’ assumption that their Republican counterparts are purveyors of systemic racism.
Accordingly, Bush responded to the Donalds nomination with an openly racist tweet. She roughly lowered it down to her skin color.
In his mind, he is simply a black man – his only value is his skin tone.

Ironically, the left spends a remarkable amount of time looking for evidence that anti-black racism exists on a macro level in the country. Of course, the left often fails because the demand far outstrips the supply.
Yet here is the exact type of racism that progressives are actively seeking to uncover, an influential person using their platform to belittle a black man based on their skin color.
So, will the Media Racism Task Force discuss Bush’s bigotry?
Will MSNBC, CNN, ABC and “The View” devote many segments to condemning the racist rhetoric of a progressive congresswoman?
You already know the answer.
It’s called a double standard, one that benefits hypocrites like Cori Bush.
