MOUNT PROSPECT, IL After discovering graffiti containing racial slurs on the George Street Bridge earlier this week, police announced Wednesday evening that they had found additional graffiti on three other bridges. One of the bridges contained racial slurs similar to the George Street Bridge.
During a check of other bridges that cross Weller Creek, police found graffiti on the structure under the Emerson Street Bridge, the Elmhurst Road Bridge and the See Gwun Avenue Bridge. Police said it is not known at this time if the additional bridges were vandalized during the same period as the George Street Bridge. The hateful graffiti was removed immediately by Village staff.
